What dance is really like😂

Hi guys,

Welcome back to my blog. Today I am going to be talking about what dance is like because I have recently been watching some clips from dance moms and all it was was just pageant and dance is not like that. Now I know I am going a bit deep but I truly believe that dance is about expressing yourself through movement. I am deeply disappointed that it has become a pageant. It has become all about the looks and perfection which dancers strive for a lot which isn't necessarily a bad thing but it's to the point when dance is no longer enjoyable.

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post,  Apologies for not posting in so long! Waltz,waltz,waltz!-Dance diary- Dance Saturday

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, 27/9/18   Ballroom We began dance class by doing our box steps up and down the studio. Before, I really struggled to take a large step backwards and forwards but now I think I'm getting better at that and my teacher said I was too! We also added on a new bit to the waltz which consisted of a check forward, a step out to the side, and a type of whisk and chasse. I am sorry I know I do not know my waltz terms yet but don't come for me okay!✋Lol. We practiced that with music and then moved onto another new step. This was basically a side chasse. Again, I do not know my waltz terms yet so don't come for me!✋ We tried that with music and then moved on to a completely different style, the samba. We basically repeated what we did before but added a side step in before returning to our samba basic. Then we just finished on that. Hopefully next lesson, we will be doing paso doblé because we haven't done a lot on that but ...

Representation and sheep - Writing Wednesday

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, I've just been thinking about this recently, as I've noticed it's something that a lot of people do. In school and in the outside world, we're constantly told about representation. We're constantly told about being a role model to others and being an inspiration to those who do not yet believe in themselves. Personally, I think that's brilliant because it makes people stand up and take responsibility for those who don't have a voice. However, I do think that it can go too far because at the end of the day, we're all going to be different and one person does not speak for all. Just like a king or queen that used to make decisions on the behalf of everybody without even consulting them. They did not speak for all, like a feminist doesn't speak on behalf of all women. It's also fair enough, if you as the listener, have educated yourself on why you choose to follow a leader's values. If you ...

Blogmas day 13- Favourite dance icons of 2018!

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, Surprisingly, I've found so many new and interesting dancers this year. Many of them have inspired me to push on in the dance industry so I thought it might be a good idea to share some with you today! Hope you enjoy. :) Claudia Dean Coaching. There are so many dancers that I can go on and on about but the one that really inspires me the most is Claudia. She's been in professional ballet companies such as the Royal Ballet company but she decided that it wasn't for her and started up her own coaching business for young,aspiring dancers to be. Her drive and determination has lead to her huge success. She now has I believe, 2 dance clothing lines and a huge and ever growing YouTube channel.
