Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, When I was choreographing the routines for work experience, I made sure that I was coming up with something that was original and something they've never really seen before. Too many times have I seen the same boring routines over and over again. You may have recalled me talking about the school show we did back in May. Whilst some of the contemporary routines that the year 11s devised at the time were great, many of them I felt, didn't push themselves and didn't create something new that would have probably got them higher marks. People always give the argument that they don't do something new because they want to focus on the technique. However, most people that have chosen dance at my school do not do it outside of school so that means the only time they learn technique is for 2 hours a week so it's probably not as strong as it could be. By coming up with something new, you can add a level of interest in yo...
Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, The last part of the summer term has commenced and traditionally, over my school years, I would spend this term celebrating the achievements of the last school year and I would welcome a nice long break before the entrance into the next school year. In year 12, celebrations are still a part of the contract and I shall celebrate my achievements with pride because the pandemic threw many obstacles in my way and despite those obstacles, I still made it to the end. The extended essay is a 4,000 word essay on a subject and topic of your choice and we are advised to complete the first draft of t...

The Illustrated London News published a picture of the royal family celebrating round a decadently decorated Christmas tree in 1848. This was a tradition upheld by Prince Albert's childhood in Germany. Like a fashion statement, nearly every house in Britain was decked with a beautiful tree, candles, sweets, fruits, homemade decorations and gifts. Before, Christmas cards were also introduced. Henry Cole commissioned an artist to design a Christmas card in 1843. The illustration was of a group of people around a dinner table with a Christmas message also added. Since these cards were one shilling each, it became too pricey for ordinary Victorians to buy making them not easily acc...
