Plastic, plastic, plastic

Hello everybody and welcome to another blog post,

I am absolutely mortified! Recently, I got a block soap for Christmas. I thought that the packaging was just cardboard because it was placed in a cardboard little box. But when I opened it up, I saw that it also came with plastic wrap! And then we wonder why there is so much plastic floating in our oceans. Here is what it looked like:


It's not the first time that I've seen something pointlessly wrapped in plastic. Every time I go food shopping with my mum, I see things like apples and bananas wrapped in plastic. We don't need it. However, when I go to places like France, the fruit and vegetables are placed in boxes for you to pick from. Why can't it be like that here in the UK?

The 2 worst school trips I've been on- storytime- Lifestyle Monday

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, I have been on some terrible school trips throughout my time at secondary school. One was a language trip where I visited a fake town. The other was a canal trip where all we did was opening and closing locks. Want to hear the full stories? Please keep on reading. I think it was in year 8 when I went on this languages trip. Not many people I knew went but I still had my good friend Emma to sit next to on the bus. Firstly, the drive there was like 2 hours long so by the time we actually got to the place, I was expecting something good. We were also told that they hired an actor to pretend to be a robber and steal all the fake food from the shop and we had to try and find him. Rise unbroken's golden buzzer routine- was it a good dance or a sad story- Against the norm- Dance Saturday

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, Rise Unbroken,a dance group who wowed the BGT judges with their moving performance, are now known to the dance community. But why? Is it because they performed an amazing routine? Or because they tried to spread their moving story? At the centre of the group, was 13 year old Hollie booth, who was a victim of the Manchester terror attack and suddenly found herself in a wheelchair. Which I could imagine, probably had a massive effect on her dancing dreams. Hollie attended Ariana's concert in Manchester with her mum and her aunt, Kelly Brewster, who unfortunately died in the attack.  Hollie suffered two broken legs and has since undergone 11 operations. Without a splint, she is unable to walk with her left leg. Obviously, due to this, their were limits to what she could do on her wheelchair but she continued to dance and because of that she became known to the community. I did actually enjoy the routine.
