Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post,  As you may have already seen on my Instagram a few weeks back, I took my sister Alice and my Polish friend Teresa out on a punting tour along the river Cam. Being a river tour guide can be quite a tough and demanding job at times but I suppose one of the great perks of doing it is that you can take your friends and family out on a self-punt along the river for free. The day after me and my parents had returned home from Seville, Teresa came over from Poland to stay with us for a couple of days. Really, she was just off to see her boyfriend Miles in Loughborough after her visit but since she was there and had never seen the backs of the colleges before, I saw it as the perfect opportunity to take her and Alice out on an informal tour around the Backs. Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, In today's power of writing series, I will be reviewing Malala Yousafzai's writing.  Malala is well known for advocating female education rights especially in north west Pakistan where the Taliban (a terrorist group), at times, banned girls from attending school. This advocacy has now turned into an international movement inspiring other girls to fight for their education rights. Malala was born in Mingora, Pakistan where her parents ran a chain of schools in the region. At the age of the 11-12, she wrote a blog under a pseudonym, BBC Urdu recording her life in detail of the Taliban occupation in Swat.  A journalist named Adam B. Ellick made a New York Times documentary of her life. After giving many interviews on print and on TV, she was nominated the International Children's Nobel Peace Prize by activist Desmund Tutu. Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog, Friday 16th March 2018 I must say, I was very happy. On Friday 16th of March 2018, I was convinced that I would have a Swiss roll disaster. My cooking teacher expected us to make a Swiss roll in under an hour. I highly doubted that I would not get it done on time but wow, I was pleasantly surprised. In fact, I got an A for it. Look at my master piece. My friend was disappointed since hers turned out like an ice-cream cone.  Hers did look nice and it was a challenge to do in under an hour.I published the photo of mine on instagram. Here's what we commented.  -Yours looks so much better than mine. Mine's like an ice-cream cone. -(me) ice-cream cones are nice tho! -tru. See, I'm not one to put people down!
