Cambridge food - Lifestyle Monday

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post,

 Yesterday, I went into Cambridge with my mum to go to the market and get some food to eat. We walked around the market square for a bit and looked around to see if there was anything that we liked. We walked passed and stall called Mac Daddy's and it served really nice mac and cheese in a pot. There was a big queue outside the stall so we decided to come back later. In the mean time, we walked around and saw a really nice coffee stall that sold authentic ground spanish coffee as well as coffee drinks. Again, we decided to come back later. We walked out of the market square and into the street where there was the Waterstones book shop. We decided to have a look around to see if there were any books that we liked. I've been recently watching the detective series, Vera, with my parents so we decided to go into the crime section of the store. I found the ABC Murders by Agatha Christie and my mum found some modern detective books. However, they were all quite expensive so my mum decided to take photos of the books so that we could order them off of Amazon. After going into Waterstones, we walked passes a popular ice cream shop called Jack's Gelato and we decided that once we were done with the market we go there to get dessert. We then went back to Mac Daddy's and we got some mac and cheese with chorizo and crispy onions. It was delicious. We also went to the coffee stall and my mum got some ground coffee in paper bags. We then went to Jack's Gelato and after queueing for quite a while, we both got a salted dark chocolate ice cream on a cone. It was really nice!

The individuals of the Holocaust: The victims and the perpetrators - Writing Wednesday

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post,  Recently, I got given the opportunity by my school to take part in the Lessons from Auschwitz Online Project, to further my understanding on the events that took place during the Holocaust. I was joined by over a hundred other sixth form students from across the UK and I found it quite amazing that so many young people, whether they already had knowledge on the Holocaust or not, had decided to get involved and educate themselves on such a raw and often confusing historical time period. However, whether selfishly or unselfishly, I decided to take part in this project set up by the Holocaust Educational Trust for myself. Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, Recently, my mum told me to take a look a Mel Robbins's work because she talks a lot about human psychology. If you don't know her story, Mel Robbins was a well-known TV show host on American channels like CNN and has now become a motivational influencer on the internet. She faced a lot of financial difficulty trying to pursue her career in the TV and entertainment industry and this caused her marriage to become unstable and eventually she became severely depressed. This was to the point when she even struggled to get out of bed in the morning. After releasing her book, the 5 Second Rule which motivated her to get up out of bed every morning, Mel Robbins now inspires other people with mental health issues. What I'm hoping to talk about in my English speaking exam- Writing Wednesday

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, After Easter, my English teacher told the class that we will be doing a speaking exam on whatever topic we wish to talk about. I don't know the exact details of the exam but I do know that we have to talk about a certain subject for 4 minutes. I will probably find out more about it when I return to school next Tuesday. Although, I already have an idea of what I'm going to talk about. I thought it would be interesting to talk about my heritage since I've got an interesting racial background. My sister talked about this for her speaking exam in year 10 and she did very well in it so I thought it would be a good idea to talk about it also. I will hopefully be able to talk about where my mum comes from. She was born in a French colony called Réunion near Madagascar.
