Fete fun

Hi guys,    

Welcome back to my blog! Today I had a really fun day with my friends. There was a fete going on in our area and me and my friends decided to go to it. When we got there, there was a big tent called the Venue. This was basically a place where amateur bands from the area play and sing songs for the public. Wow I sounded sooo posh! Great English Juju. But anyway, there were some of my friends from school who sang there and they were sooo good. Here is a picture of the Venue:


My friend's mum had a sweet stall and I bought a small bag of Tangfastics . If there is one fact to find out about me, is that I looove Tangfastics. Even my friends will say the same. Here is my not interesting picture of my tangfastics:


Then this lady was trying to convince me to join guides since there was a small amount of people. She even gave me a card all about it. But I wasn't really interested. The weather looked great!

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, I don't know if people outside of Britain have something like this in schools but here we have a thing called conference day which is a day where you learn something unconventional and would probably not do in normal everyday lessons. For this conference day, the topic was life skills.  In this one part of the day, we learnt about mental health and depression. Why this had anything to do with life skills, I do not know. It was going pretty smoothly at first. They were talking about what effects mental health problems had on people and those around them and why it's important to speak about these sorts of things. Then as the teacher flicked over to the next slide, things turned sour pretty quickly. This slide was labelled "Things you cannot say incase it offends someone with a mental health problem." Blogmas day 2- Setting up the tree!

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, Yesterday was the first of December meaning we were going to get our Christmas tree. Our first stop was Tescos however because my sister wanted to get some chocolates for her friend's birthday. While we were there, we also bought some meat and cheese because my mum wanted to make a lasagna for dinner. We also bought a can of peas to give to the food bank. It's sad that we even have to give anything to the food bank but in our area I know that there are quite a few people who are struggling to get their basic needs so its nice to give something back. I was also glad to see that a lot of other people were giving to the food bank. After shopping, we got into the car to go to our nearest rectory  farm where they sell real Christmas trees.  When we arrived, we pulled down the back seat to allow for room for the tree. My thoughts on Dance Moms - Dance Saturday

  Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, Today I'm doing something a little bit different and I'm going to be talking about the controversial reality show, Dance Moms.  If you don't know about the show Dance Moms, then it's basically a reality show all about a group of young dancers from the Abby Lee Dance Company, who attend different competitions every week in a bid to win a group dance, solo, duet, or trio. As well as Abby's competitive pyramid where each dancer has to fight to be on the top, the show's main centre-piece, the "dance moms," as well as supporting their children in dance, are also seen fighting amongst each other in nearly every episode to add a bit of drama for the audience. The show was initially aired as a documentary-style program series, based on the life of the dancers at the ALDC, but after it was premiered in July 2011, it hit a huge fan base and the show turned into a popular reality series.
