Kind of a busy week-life update

By jujupage1 -
Hi guys,

Welcome back to my blog. I didn't know this year would be so hard. Everything in terms of homework has increased in amount and difficulty. One lesson I would be set homework and in the next lesson too. I didn't have time to do a split tutorial for today but that should be coming on Sunday so do check it out. Now that I am preparing for my Gcse's, revision has increased which just adds to the mountain of homework I get.

Are you struggling with the mountains of homework too? Leave a comment down below letting me know,

See you next time,

Bye

What we should be cautious of when entering this climate emergency- Writing Wednesday

By -
Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, Recently, as more and more people are becoming aware, the public have been standing up for change in the way in which we are handling this climate change crisis. It's always been a worry for a lot of people to ensure that we are being as environmentally friendly and kind to our planet as we possibly can be. However, in the last few years, as many scientists have been predicting that we may only have 10 years left to truly make a difference to our environment, people as young as youths have been passively revolting for change in the way their parliament deal with this issue. The famous Youth Strike for Climate Change, founded by 16 year old environmental activist Greta Thunberg, got children and teens all over the world  gathering together to give up a day of school to protest against the way things are currently done. I personally really like this new initiative and I think that it's really refreshing to see people of a...

The double-edged sword of fame - Writing Wednesday

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post,  I think that when  we're little, we do have a period of time when we think about what it might be like to be famous one day. I know that when I was little at least, I really had big aspirations to either be a famous singer or a famous writer. I think that many people can relate to this because when you're younger, there's this sort of fantasy element of being famous because you see your favourite actors and actresses on TV or you listen to your favourite singer and that's how you look up to them.  However, I know that in recent events, the very negative sides to being famous have definitely been highlighted. I don't know the full story behind Caroline Flack, I just know that unfortunately she committed suicide quite recently because the media extensively publicised her court case against her partner. Before this, she was a TV presenter on very popular TV shows like Love Island and she even competed in Strictl...

Durham - Lifestyle Monday

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post,  As most of you have probably already seen on my Instagram, a couple months ago now, me and my parents went on a road trip to Durham to visit the university there. I thought it would be a wise idea to apply to other universities apart from Cambridge so that I would have more options in the future should anything not go to plan. And that's why I chose Durham because it was a good university and I also heard many good things about it from people at work who said they had studied there. I had actually wanted to visit Durham during their open day but of course this open day just so happened to fall at the exact same time as the open days at Cambridge which I suppose is typical. Both Cambridge and Durham are pretty competitive institutions to enter and I suppose they want you as an applicant to be selective with your decisions and narrow your choices down. It was quite annoying but I took to the internet and researched other wa...

International Dance Day - Dance Saturday

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post,  Yes, if you haven't already figured it out, I'm writing this post on a bit of a whim. Every time there's an international or national day of anything, A)I always end up missing it and B) I tend not to care that much about it anyway. When it comes to celebrations like International Women's Day or National Siblings Day, it's not that I don't care about women's rights or I've just completely forgotten about my sister but I'm just one of those people who believes that these sorts of things should be celebrated everyday. I'm not one of those people who understands why you need to have a specific day to remember these things. You're probably wondering why I'm then making a post about International Dance Day. Well, I still think it's a bit rubbish to have just a S-P-E-C-I-F-I-C day to celebrate dance, when dancers celebrate it every time they dance. However, scrolling through Instagra...
