What is sunning? Strange bird behaviour!

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, I really like black birds. Even though the eat all the cherries off our tree! They are still friendly birds. We have a specific black bird that always comes into our garden. My parents have been really wanting to get the garden going since the extension on our house. They have been doing a great job and it's nearly ready for vegetables next year! But there is still some digging to do. Every time my dad digs up a patch of the garden, the same black bird is always there to eat the worms. Now it's chicks are all grown up but before, he would feed them to his chicks and they would have intense fights over food. It was quite funny to watch! I've seen the same black bird so many times that I decided to name it as a joke. I named it Sid since it was male. This was the first time I ever saw the strange bird behaviour! I came home from school and decided to have a foot bath to cool myself down. I sat outside, eating my yogur...

Trying to put on my kimono and folding it!😂

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, Over the last half-term, my grandmother came to stay for a couple of days. Most of the time, she likes to bring us presents when she comes because we don't always get to see her. Since she is fully Japanese, she visits Japan to see my great grandmother. This time, when she got there, she bought me and my sister some yukata kimonos. Since we are at the age where we are not still growing rapidly, we can get kimonos since they are difficult to get. My sister got a blue yukata and I got the red yukata.  I think my grand mother chose really nice kimonos that suit our skin tone well! This was the story that I posted on my Instagram. Link below!👇 The thing that you need to remember about kimonos is that you have to remember how to put it on and take it off and fold it. My grandmother will be testing me on this the next time she visits in September. So I decided to put my own skills to the test! I tried putting on and folding m...

Day at the beach

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, Yesterday, I went to Hunstanton beach with my family. I have been working hard on revision for end of year exams and my sister has just finished her GCSEs  so it felt like the perfect time to relax by the seaside.  I had to wake up early because we live in Cambridge which isn't next to a beach so we have to get up early to go to the beach on time. I woke up at 7:30am and made myself scrambled eggs on toast with tea. It was delicious! Then I went upstairs to my room to pack some things and get dressed. I packed a book and some money even though I did not end up using them. I also packed my phone to vlog and take some photos for this blog.  The drive from Cambridge to Hunstanton is about 1 hour and 30 minute drive so it's not to far. When we got there, we were originally going to park by the coast but it was £6 for 4 hours so we decided to park by the street and walk to the beach since the last car park was really...

My encounter with a real witch- short horror story

I always thought the school canteen was a menacing place. It was a death trap for budding and hard-working students of the school. The dinner ladies hunched and walked like dead people, everyone who walked in changed from human to zombies and most of all, the food was disgusting and poisonous. The first time I ate the school food was back in year 7.  The soup was a green, lumpy slime of a mixture. The dessert was pale, cold and stodgy apple crumble and worst, was what to drink. The water was brown, stagnant and tasted like beatle juice. If I could, I would not have eaten it but the dinner ladies watched us like scavengers. Those who refused to eat were either left with a dinner lady until they ate all the food or in extreme circumstances, force fed. This was something that I had to endure day in, day out. But it was not until my mum was late picking me up from school that I realised the true extent of powers the canteen had. I don't live in the village so my mum has to drive ...

We are all the product of our mistakes

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, We are all the product of our mistakes. In the past, I have made many mistakes. Like hitting my sister, throwing my sister's board game pieces on the floor, and drawing in my sister's books. But some of my mistakes were also accidental like getting a question wrong in class.  However, I for one can confidently say that I have been able to learn from my mistakes. But over the years, I have noticed that some people never learn. The product that came out of my mistakes was a better person. But the product out of some people's mistakes are worse people. I have seen countless photos on social media of people drinking underage, wearing inappropriate clothes, and even swearing.  Those are big mistakes that will affect them in the future. And they still don't learn. Many say that its because of bad parenting but when I see some people with inadequate parents, they are still good people.  It never ceases to amaze me how so...

Is starting dance late difficult?

Hello everybody and welcome back to my blog, Is starting dance late difficult? Should I start dance now? Are questions a lot of teens and adults often ask. Well last year, around the end of September, I started ballroom dance. I always wanted to learn how to dance the waltz or the cha cha but I was also concerned at the same time about my age. I was not placed with the older ones and although I was thirteen, I was placed with people 3 years or younger than me. However, I did not let this defeat me and now in September 2018, I will be joining the seniors. So, yes starting dance late can be difficult and you have to put a lot of work and effort into it. I made sure I was practicing regularly and turning up to lessons most of the time. And yes, quite often you do feel humiliated because your older than everyone else in your group. But if you put in the effort, then you will improve and succeed like me. So don't think it's too late to start because it isn't. I hope this was...
