Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post,  I don't wish to give myself strict resolutions for this year as I'm just interested in seeing what happens. However, there is one thing I would like to do and that is focus on myself. On the weekend, I did a last minute history revision session after work with my Polish friend Teresa. She came over for lunch as well and tasted my dad's omelette for the first time which she absolutely loved. My mum's gone back home to Réunion to see my uncle and cousins, and also my grandad who is unfortunately not well. However, this has meant that Teresa was able to see what my dad's cooking was like and she was impressed. Overall the revision session was very helpful and it was a well spent study session. We were able to do some baking after the study session and we made a giant cookie cake, Teresa's recipe, which I posted a photo of on my Instagram story. Life Update: World Challenge, Oral Exams, and Project 21 - Lifestyle Monday

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, Long time no see!  I hope you're having a great Valentine's Day, however you're spending it! Today I wanted to give you guys a little lite update because I think a lot of things have happened and I need to inform you guys all about it. The first rather big news is that my World Challenge trip to Northern Tanzania will not be in Northern Tanzania anymore, it will actually be in Morocco. This is because apparently, according to World Challenge (the trip organiser), Tanzania is a bit behind on the vaccine roll out and they don't believe that the situation will change in the space of 5 months so they decided to relocate us as a group to another country that is making more progress with regards to Covid. I knew that either full cancellation or relocation of the trip due to Covid was a possibility because I was informed of this at the start of the year. The last few shifts before a week of travel - Writing Wednesday

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, On the day that you're reading this, I will be going away on holiday the next day for a week with my mum and dad. My older sister Alice has decided to travel to Prague with her boyfriend for a week too so we'll both be away around this time. Last week, as well as Monday and Tuesday of this week, I decided to work my final few shifts at Scudamore's before travelling. I will be working at the punting company during the autumn as well but because I went from doing the IB to doing river tours straight afterwards, I thought it was best to take a small break in-between, so that I could be refreshed and ready for the autumn season coming up.  There are two punting stations at Scudamore's, one at Mill Pond and one at Quayside, and they are both at opposite ends of the river. Accountability: Arthur Labinjo-Hughes - Writing Wednesday

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post,  I'm sure that most of you have heard about the absolutely tragic story of Arthur Labinjo-Hughes but if you haven't, here is a brief overview.  Arthur Labinjo-Hughes, a 6 year old boy from Solihull in the West Midlands, was killed by his stepmother and father in June 2020. Arthur moved into his father's home during the 2020 lockdown after his mother was sent to prison. The lockdown meant that Arthur was trapped in a home where both his stepmother and father were physically abusive towards him. Emma Tustin, Arthur's stepmother, did not see Arthur as one of her own and did not accept him into the family as a result. Consequently, Arthur was isolated from the rest of the family and children in the home. He was made to stand in the corridor on his own for up to 14 hours. He was also excluded from his bedroom and made to sleep on the floor in the living room. He was forced to eat salt-laced meals and was repeatedly beate...
