Getting my first pair of ballroom shoes!👠

As some of you may know, I've started a new dance school. If you want more info then check out my blog post called starting a new dance school. I've really been enjoying it and the people there are such a contrast to my other dance school. They actually talk to me!
I had to keep reminding my parents to get me the uniform needed for the dance class. So on the day, my mum was busy working so she had to send a text to my dad with everything that I needed. My dad got super stressed! We had to rush all the way to the school so that I could get my uniform on time! Luckily though, we were one of the first people at the shop. I managed to get this beautiful red dress. My dad said the shoes were in the box and when I opened it a huge smile grew on my face. They were so glittery and sparkly. It was like being a five year old again. Here is what they look like:

    I used to do ballroom dancing when I was younger... all my cousins and I went every Saturday morning... I wasnt very good but I loved it. I never had a fabulous pair of shoes like yours either. You cant beat a bit of bling!

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post,  Recently, I've been watching a lot of Russel Brand's content on YouTube because rather surprisingly, he uploads videos giving some pretty sound life advice which I have been genuinely trying my best to follow as much as possible. I say surprising because before discovering his YouTube channel, with all due respect I never knew Russel beyond the actor that he once was, but upon discovering his channel, I have come to realise that Russel is not just an authentic and relatable human being, he is also an individual who perhaps has the intellect of some of the greatest philosophers to have ever lived. So I follow his advice very dearly. And one of the topics that Russel often talks about is living in the present moment. What I'm hoping to talk about in my English speaking exam- Writing Wednesday

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, After Easter, my English teacher told the class that we will be doing a speaking exam on whatever topic we wish to talk about. I don't know the exact details of the exam but I do know that we have to talk about a certain subject for 4 minutes. I will probably find out more about it when I return to school next Tuesday. Although, I already have an idea of what I'm going to talk about. I thought it would be interesting to talk about my heritage since I've got an interesting racial background. My sister talked about this for her speaking exam in year 10 and she did very well in it so I thought it would be a good idea to talk about it also. I will hopefully be able to talk about where my mum comes from. She was born in a French colony called Réunion near Madagascar. I can also talk about my dad's heritage because he's half English and half Japanese. I'll find out more about what the exam entails later but I th

Is figure skating a dance style? - Dance Saturday

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, I feel like I'm saying this a lot but apologies for not posting on Wednesday. There's just been a lot of sad things happening this week in general and in my personal life and finding the time to post has just not been on my radar. I will talk all about it in my next post but for now, I just wanted to post something fun for Dance Saturday. A question that has popped up a lot in my mind recently is, can ice-skating be considered as a style of dance? Personally, I think it can. I've been watching a lot of figure skaters on YouTube and Instagram recently and I've just been completely in awe of their talent. How one can just do an axel and barrel roll on bladed shoes on slippery ice just amazes me. I would say that I've grown to become a better skater because I've done it often enough with my friends and my family that I've gained a decent balance on the ice but there was one time when I was skating on Jesus
