How my dance exams went and what I'm doing in work experience next week - Dance Saturday

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, Last Sunday, I had a dance exam for my ballroom and street routines. I did street first and ballroom second. For my street, I danced to 1999 by CharliXCX and Don't Call Me Up by Mabel. There were perhaps a couple sections that could have been neater but on the whole, I think that it went well. I think that I did well in ballroom too. I did forget, I think once, the lock step in the quick step but I didn't stop and I managed to complete the routine. I didn't forget anything in the jive and I think I performed the routines in both styles well on the whole. In comparison to last time, when I did samba instead of paso, I would say that it went a lot better this time!😂 Starting Monday, I'm also beginning my work experience at my old dance studio. It's great because in comparison to all my other friend's jobs, I only work for a short amount of time. On Monday, I start at 3:45pm and finish at 8:00pm so I get t...

Learning never ends - Writing Wednesday

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post,  In 2020, on the day that my class left year 11 due to Covid-19, my biology teacher, Miss McCullagh, gave us all a green card with a thoughtful message from her written on it to wish us all the best of luck for our futures. It is a card that I still treasure to this day,  2 years later, not only because it reminds me of what a great teacher she was and what a fantastic school it was that I went to, despite its abrupt ending, but also because it has a really profound message written on it that I've perhaps grown to understand more as the years have gone by. "Learning never ends" is what my biology teacher wrote and this is a quote that couldn't be more true in life. Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, It's an animal post this week and today, we are going to be talking about everything African Elephant related! Hope you enjoy :) African elephants are elephants of the genus Loxodonta which consists of two types of elephants. The first being the most common African bush elephant and second being the smaller African forest elephant.    The bush elephant is the largest living terrestrial elephant whilst the forest elephant is only the third-largest. These elephants have thick bodies that rest upon broad and sturdy legs. Their large ears are used to enable heat loss. The large ears act as cooling aids as they radiate heat from blood vessels and flap their ears to generate cooling air currents. Their upper lip and nose connect to form their trunk. Hello everybody and welcome to another blog post, In the past, titles were very important. They depicted what you could and could not do. Simply being born into a poor family meant that you were less important than those who were aristocrats and born into a rich family. This made society incredibly unfair. However, you would think that about 2 centuries later, things would change. Some would even argue,in the 21st century, that life is better. But, I would disagree. People nowadays say that we should be able to love who we want to love if it makes us happy. I completely 100% agree. There is no problem loving the same or opposite gender.  However, what I  despise is when people use their sexuality to their advantage. They think their sexuality immediately makes them a better person. For all I know, you can be a rubbish person but still be gay. It makes no difference.
