Dance diary entry: Learning a commercial routine - Dance Saturday

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, 

 On Tuesday after school, I went to dance on my own because my sister was ill. The routine we did was a more mature piece because my sister had asked to do a more challenging routine. Even though my sister wasn't there, I still really enjoyed the dance. We began the lesson by doing a quick warm up and stretch to ensure that we were ready for the dance. The song for the routine was Light It Up by Major Lazer. I liked this song because I saw Mina Myoung do a dance to this at 1 Million Dance Studio and it looked great. There were some sections that we did on the floor which kind of involved a bit of break dancing but for the most part, the routine was very commercial and I liked that. Since there's a mixture of different ages in my class, we usually do choreography that is more simple to enhance everybody's abilities. However, there's three older girls in my class: me, my sister, and another girl and we all wanted to do something that stretched to our abilities. It was faster and more upbeat, which I really liked. There's a part in the beginning where we have to freestyle. I'm not the best at freestyle so I'm just going to come up with a couple counts of eight that I could use to fill the space. I'm sure that it will look great against the choreography we've just done, if I perform it right. Since my exam board for dance is ISTD, we usually come up with dances that are repeatable throughout the song because that's how we have to perform them in the exam. However with this routine, since we're only doing it for fun, we're doing choreography throughout the whole song which will be fun. I'm sure I'll really like the end result!💜

Winter's Avian flu + chicken lockdown - Blogmas day 8 - Lifestyle Monday

  Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post,  Unfortunately, there's been a new virus outbreak. Not the one currently happening in London and Kent, although that is awful too, but the outbreak of the Avian flu amongst all birds. I don't exactly know when the Avian flu was first brought to government attention but I do know that around the 11th of December, people started to talk about the possibility of having to quarantine their poultry in order to prevent the risk of further infection. If you don't know what the Avian flu is, it's a virus that transcends down from aquatic birds worldwide and it has the ability to infect domestic birds, poultry, and potentially other animals like humans, although it's not really a high risk. Time is precious

Hello Jujubears and welcome to another blog post, Today, I will be talking about time. Yesterday evening, me and my family were talking about this at the table. We were talking about how my mum always cooks even when she is busy. Most people when they are busy order a take away or buy ready-made meals. It shocks me how everyone has the same 24 hours in a day but some manage even when they are busy to cook. Do people cook because they have time or just can be bothered? Nowadays, we have a rich source of information all around us. So we have the power to look up 5 minute meals or even meal prepping. Technically, there is no excuse. So why don't people do it. There's a saying that the people who are bothered and who are dedicated will always find the time to do something. Time is precious so don't waste it, What do you spend most of your time doing? Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, Recently, my mum told me to take a look a Mel Robbins's work because she talks a lot about human psychology. If you don't know her story, Mel Robbins was a well-known TV show host on American channels like CNN and has now become a motivational influencer on the internet. She faced a lot of financial difficulty trying to pursue her career in the TV and entertainment industry and this caused her marriage to become unstable and eventually she became severely depressed. This was to the point when she even struggled to get out of bed in the morning.
