Going away for Christmas - Blogmas day 4

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, 

Tomorrow, from when you're reading this, me and my family will be going away to Yorkshire to spend Christmas. We will be staying in a cottage near Robin Hood's Bay between the 23rd and the 27th of December, spending Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day in Yorkshire, which should be a lot of fun. As someone who is a fan of James Herriot, I'm very much looking forward to seeing Yorkshire for the first time. Recently, I've been watching the second series of James Herriot's All Creatures Great and Small on the TV and seeing the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Dales, as well as the picturesque countryside has really sold the Yorkshire landscape to me. I've been to the North of England before when I went on the year 10 dance trip to Manchester but Yorkshire is a place that I have always wanted to visit but never had the chance to, so I'm very much excited to go. I heard that the area we are staying in is very scenic and beautiful so I cannot wait to see what it's going to be like. We're probably going to be doing a lot of walking so I'm bringing my walking boots with me in preparation. I'm also expecting it to be a little bit colder than in Cambridge too, so I'm packing warm clothes as well for those winter walks. If all things go according to plan next year, I will be doing my last mock exams so spending this time away from home in a different setting, will hopefully help me to unwind and go into January with a clear mind. In the meantime, my parents will be bringing all the food and all the presents in the car too! Goodness knows how we will be able to fit everything and everyone in the car but we're going going to have to make it work. It's Christmas after all!😂 At least going away for Christmas means that my dad isn't going to do any last minute Christmas shopping. He's going to have to be pretty punctual this time. 😂💜

New years resolutions for 2019

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, Today I'm going to be making some new year resolutions for 2019. This time last year I made a few new years resolutions for 2018 and although I succeeded at completing some of them, many of them I did not complete. That's okay, but in order to ensure that my chances of completing them are higher this year, I need to be determined and keep looking back on my goals. So without further a do, here are my new years resolutions. Enjoy! Go to Berlin. I am going on a history trip for 5 days to Berlin, Germany in April. I've got my passport ready already and I can't wait to go! Start teaching dance or do something in work experience involving dance. I am hoping to start teaching dance perhaps part-time or for a small amount of hours since I'm only 14 but I do want to become a choreographer when I'm older so I thought it would be useful. Blogmas day 2- Setting up the tree!

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, Yesterday was the first of December meaning we were going to get our Christmas tree. Our first stop was Tescos however because my sister wanted to get some chocolates for her friend's birthday. While we were there, we also bought some meat and cheese because my mum wanted to make a lasagna for dinner. We also bought a can of peas to give to the food bank. It's sad that we even have to give anything to the food bank but in our area I know that there are quite a few people who are struggling to get their basic needs so its nice to give something back. I was also glad to see that a lot of other people were giving to the food bank. After shopping, we got into the car to go to our nearest rectory  farm where they sell real Christmas trees.  When we arrived, we pulled down the back seat to allow for room for the tree.
