January favourites 2019- Lifestyle Monday

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post,

 I know it's been long awaited but I thought it would be fitting to do today. For this post, I'm going to be showing you my January favourites 2019. There have been so many things that I loved last month and I thought I would share them with you today. Enjoy!

  • The first thing thing that I've been loving this past month is the Netflix series, Pretty Little Liars. I recently got Netflix and was struggling to find a good series to watch and my friends suggested PLL to me and I've been enjoying watching it ever since.
  • I've also been loving the book All Creatures Great and Small by James Herriot which I've been talking a lot about on my book blog, The Book Hub, go check it out. I liked this book because it was light-hearted and funny but I will talk more about that on my review in my book blog tomorrow.
  • I've also been loving the Flatter lip balm and moisturiser from my Christmas gift box which I mentioned in my Christmas haul 2018. I've just been using it a lot lately and I found that they've been really doing the job.
  • Although I've just started it, I've also been enjoying the book, Becoming The Supervet by Professor Noel Fitzpatrick. I like this book because it reveals a lot of interesting parts of Noel's life that made him the vet he was today which I thought was fascinating.
  • I've also been loving my autumn yellow jumper that I received at Christmas and mentioned in my Christmas haul. I've just been wearing it as a cosy,comfortable jumper after school and I really liked the look of it.

What I'm hoping to talk about in my English speaking exam- Writing Wednesday

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, After Easter, my English teacher told the class that we will be doing a speaking exam on whatever topic we wish to talk about. I don't know the exact details of the exam but I do know that we have to talk about a certain subject for 4 minutes. I will probably find out more about it when I return to school next Tuesday. Although, I already have an idea of what I'm going to talk about. I thought it would be interesting to talk about my heritage since I've got an interesting racial background. Charlotte Brontë- The power of writing

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, Victorian Britain was, as many would say, unfair,cruel and harsh. It is a fact that women were discriminated in the sense that they did not have a voice or the power to act on problems in society. Victorian Britain and other countries too, were very patriarchal. This is particularly apparent during the life of Charlotte Bronte.  On the 21st of April 1816 was the birth of Charlotte Bronte.  In her early life, Charlotte dedicated her life to teach children and her family. She returned to Haworth where her sister's opened a school but failed to get students. Therefore, she and her sister's turned to writing.  She and her sister's hid their true identities. Charlotte concealed her name under the pseudonym Currer Bell in a bid to sell her books.  They believed that concealing their names under a male identity would get their books to sell. Blogmas day 3- Not my best performance :(

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, Today I woke up really happy and excited because I had my dance exam. I thought I was ready; I set up my bag,put on my street uniform, and did my hair. I then got in the car and drove to the studio with my dad. When I arrived, they checked what I was doing first and it was ballroom. However, I was dressed and ready in my street uniform. Luckily, I had arrived 30 minutes early which was what was required so I got my dress and my shoes out of my bag and went to the toilets to change. I then returned to the studio to get my number pinned to my dress. Suddenly, everyone was saying that I needed to hurry up because I was dancing next. However, my first dance was at 11:50 and it was only 11:30. However, I was told to run to the down stairs studio so I did. There I met up with my dance teacher and she was telling me what I was going to do. She said "you're doing waltz and samba" and I stupidly replied "yes" out

Bloggerversary

Hello everybody and welcome to another blog post, 1 year ago, I started blogging. It was a big idea of mine because I loved to write. I remember my first ever blog post. It was about what I ate in the evening in Norfolk. I was so excited. I realised I had got some views almost instantly on that blog post. Then I realised that it was me. LOL. Just goes to show how inexperienced I was with the blogging community back then. I stopped blogging for a couple of months then got back into it again in the summer. I loved the summer because I visited my family for the first time in 5 years. They live far away on an island in the east coast of South Africa called Réunion. It's beautiful there and I will never miss it because I have recorded my time there, here on this blog. One of my biggest blogging challenges was when I did Blogmas at Christmas. It was challenging but very rewarding in the end. You guys seemed to love it. I love blogging. I can express my thoughts and feelings very well.
