Blogmas day 7- Doctor Who is actually good!

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, A couple months ago I did a post about why I disagreed with Doctor Who being a woman. I personally found it ridiculous that the gender of the Doctor changed because of feminism and not the good of the series. However, despite this, my mum convinced me to watch it and I found that It was actually good. I still disagree with the Doctor being a woman but I think that the storyline is amazing and has actually improved from past years. I can't wait for the Christmas version to come out! Have you watched the new Doctor Who? Would you watch it? Let me know in the comments below and I will be sure to reply to them. I ♡ hearing from you! My opinion on Doctor Who being a woman- News segment- Writing Wednesday

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, Growing up, I have always been watching Doctor Who. I would watch it after Strictly just to stay up a little later (lol). I would watch the Christmas specials etc. I think it's fair to say that I'm a bit of a fan. But what has upset me the most recently was the fact that they changed the Doctor to being a woman. For years on end, families and children have been watching a male actor as the Doctor and no one cared about it then. Subsequently, I am a little bit confused as to why people care so much now. Technically, the Doctor can change into anything he wants to be wether that is a woman or an animal. But the reason as to why he was neither of those things for so long was because it fit into the story better to be a male.  The production team of Doctor Who isn't trying to offend people they are just trying to do their job which is to make an entertaining program. I was so disappointed with the new episode that aired b...

Let's try to celebrate what we already have in front of us

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post,  No doubt, there are problems in western society today. Our society is not perfect. Many women are single parents who work hard but still have to use the food bank. There are still women victims of domestic abuse and have no one to talk to. In many jobs, women get paid less money than men for the same profession. Society is not perfect and women still suffer. But there is still a massive difference between western and some eastern societies today. In places like Saudi Arabia, women are stripped from their basic human rights. They have to leave the house with the presence of a man and they are not allowed to say what they want to say. This is what makes us special. If you're a single mum, struggling with money, you can create a petition and you can make people listen to the fact that you have a problem that should not be ignored. If you are a victim of domestic abuse, you can protest and you can make people listen. If you'...

Feminism-my take 🙅

Image
Hello Jujubears and welcome to another blog post, Today I am going to be talking about feminism. Recently, I was watching a bunch of Buzzfeed videos on YouTube about feminism. One of the workers, Devin Lytle, was talking about how she is a feminist. I think that she and another co-worker were talking about how women get paid less than men. Now, I totally agree with the fact that women should be paid the same amount as men because we do state that we live in an equal society and it's not exactly equal when one gender is being paid more than the other for the same job. However, what I disagreed with was that they were saying that women should be paid more than men. Technically, that isn't equal either. Personally, I would ask, "why should women be paid more than men?" and "what makes women better?". I bet that no woman would be able to answer these questions. This is because women aren't better than men nor are men better than women. Why do we have to ha...
