Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, Today, I'm going to be talking about how results day went this year for year elevens. This is going to be my 21st and last post in my 1 Year To Get To College series. Sorry there was a bit of a mix up in the number of posts I was up to because I wasn't really counting after a while but I'm glad this series is ending on a high! I can't believe it's basically been a year since I started this series. Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post,  After watching Louis Theroux's documentary on autism, there's one question that kept popping to mind. How much do we actually understand about our brain? In the documentary, Louis visited autistic children at an education centre as well as some families who had autistic children, across many different parts of the spectrum. One teenager called Niki, was acting like a normal child up until 18 months old when he stopped crawling and talking. This was when he was diagnosed with autism. He was non-verbal up until the age of six when he miraculously began talking again and from there, he actually became more sociable. Although he has a twin sister, he was the only one diagnosed with autism. However, his family were very supportive of him and believed that autism was just part of his character. Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, Recently, I watched this amazing documentary called the Earth's Greatest Rivers which was narrated by David Oyelowo. It was a series and there was one episode on the Mississippi and the Amazon but today, I watched the one on the Nile. I am all for documentaries that teach us about what we are doing to our planet and the damage we're making, such as deforestation and global warming. However, every once in a while, it's nice to just watch documentaries that are all about the beauty of nature and how the human race is enhanced by it. I have never heard of the narrator David Oyelowo before but he seriously made the documentary seem like your reading a picture book. His voice entirely complements the amazing shots taken.  I honestly learnt so much about the Nile. I found out that there are giant masses of papyrus leaves that float away on the water likes giant land masses, which is a bit annoying for the animals that bui...

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, I really like black birds. Even though the eat all the cherries off our tree! They are still friendly birds. We have a specific black bird that always comes into our garden. My parents have been really wanting to get the garden going since the extension on our house. They have been doing a great job and it's nearly ready for vegetables next year! But there is still some digging to do. Every time my dad digs up a patch of the garden, the same black bird is always there to eat the worms. Now it's chicks are all grown up but before, he would feed them to his chicks and they would have intense fights over food. It was quite funny to watch! I've seen the same black bird so many times that I decided to name it as a joke. I named it Sid since it was male. This was the first time I ever saw the strange bird behaviour!
