The funny advent calendar story - Blogmas day 1 - Writing Wednesday

Image
Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, It's Blogmas day 1, I'm very happy to announce. I'm going to make this a regular thing but I'm also going to do a couple normal posts in case you're not as into Christmas as everyone else. I do hope you enjoy this post anyway! Everytime my mum gets me and my sister an advent calendar she always has to mention this story because it is seriously funny. When I was younger, about 7 or 8 years old, my mum got me and my sister advent calendars like she usually did. I was never opposed to getting an advent calendar because who doesn't want to have chocolate, right? However, I don't think I fully reached an understanding yet about when an advent calendar was given out so when my mum gave me a Pepper Pig purple advent calendar one 1st of December those years ago, I think that I honestly just saw it as a purple janky thing with no purpose whatsoever. Plus, I was 8 years old and growing out of this Pepper Pig nonse...

Can you make a 1 million dollar business in 90 days? - My Trip to Tanzania (Post 3) - Writing Wednesday

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, Recently, I've been watching this American TV show called Undercover Billionaire with my family, after my dad was recommended it by a friend. It's a series that brings in these rich and incredibly successful entrepreneurs and, going undercover, they have to make a business that is worth a million dollars under a set time frame. The first successful entrepreneur that they brought in was a guy called Glenn Stearns. Unfortunately, his business recently filed for bankruptcy which is a little bit awkward. 😂 However, before this, he owned the multi-million dollar business called Stearns Lending which was a private financial support company. They couldn't keep up with the 2017 change in exchange rates but up until that point, they were incredibly successful and Glenn was even able to sell 70% of this multimillion dollar business in 2015. What's probably even more amazing is that Glenn was not naturally gifted in school. H...

Oh dear another lockdown 😣 - Lifestyle Monday

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, I feel like I've been making blog posts after blog posts after blog posts about lockdown for a long time now and I know I've probably mentioned the word lockdown quite a few times now but yes, the UK is entering another lockdown as of Thursday.  I feel like every time I say we're in another lockdown, I just have to take a deep breath beforehand to compose my utter frustration at life right now. Honestly, although I'm getting used to this lockdown situation, I'm also getting kind of annoyed by all these quarantines and lockdowns. I just want to be able to move around freely and not have to constantly worry about my proximity to the people around me. I think it's also particularly annoying because 3 weeks ago, I had to enter a 2 week self isolation period because 2 people in my school had tested positive for Covid-19. I also nearly didn't end up going to school for the final week before half term because I...

Bloggerversary

Hello everybody and welcome to another blog post, 1 year ago, I started blogging. It was a big idea of mine because I loved to write. I remember my first ever blog post. It was about what I ate in the evening in Norfolk. I was so excited. I realised I had got some views almost instantly on that blog post. Then I realised that it was me. LOL. Just goes to show how inexperienced I was with the blogging community back then. I stopped blogging for a couple of months then got back into it again in the summer. I loved the summer because I visited my family for the first time in 5 years. They live far away on an island in the east coast of South Africa called Réunion. It's beautiful there and I will never miss it because I have recorded my time there, here on this blog. One of my biggest blogging challenges was when I did Blogmas at Christmas. It was challenging but very rewarding in the end. You guys seemed to love it. I love blogging. I can express my thoughts and feelings very well. ...
