Keeping Up With Juliette

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, First and foremost, apologies for my absence on here recently. In truth, I have been working on creating another website on WordPress where I hope to move this blog onto. As you all know, I have been writing on this blog since I was 12 years old and whilst I have really enjoyed the experience, I feel as though the site on Blogger is now getting a bit old for me and it's time for me to move on. I am now 18 years old and I need something a little bit more professional that matches the person I have become, and I believe that this new site on WordPress will allow me to fulfill this. You needn't worry though, this site will remain open and you can always come back to the old posts written by me that you've loved reading over the years. It's just that at some point in the near future, I will be writing on my WordPress site instead of this one. I also hope to add some information about my online dance classes to this new ...

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, Last Monday, me and my family celebrated my sister, Alice's, 19th birthday. I can't believe that my sister only has a year until she is not a teenager anymore, but is entering young adulthood. What's more is that I can't believe that this year I'm going to be 17 years old, meaning that I will legally be able to start taking driving lessons. I also can't believe that next year I'm going to be 18 years old, meaning that I can legally start drinking. Goodbye to baby Juliette on the sidelines of a party with her orange juice. That will be no more. 😂 It is clear that on Monday, my sister's 19th birthday really made me think about the fact that we are leaving behind an era and entering a new one and that times are changing. Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post,  On Sunday, we celebrated my dad's birthday. It also happened to be Valentine's day so my dad bought something for my mum too. I always find that part a bit funny. I don't think that he will like me saying this but just so you know what age he now is, he is 50, the scary mid-life crisis age. 😂 💜 No, I mean well but one likes good humour. Hahaha. Anyway, I do think that the day was celebrated well. Aside from nearly leaving one of my presents hidden in one of my drawers and leaving the price on some of the birthday cards, opening the presents and the gifts was joyful. No, it wasn't socks that were gifted this time. My dad got some nice jumpers, a few Cuban cigars for special occasions, some books, some alcohol, and a swanky shaving set with a brush! Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, On Saturday, I went to my job taster session in Ipswich. As you guys already know, I applied to Project 21 because it was convenient timing for me and they were going to set up a school in Cambridge in January. However, because of Covid, they didn't quite have everything set up yet so I had to do an hours drive down to Ipswich to see them in action. I didn't have to go but I figured that if I wanted to make a good first impression, I probably should go so I did. My dad was kind enough to take me there. We decided to get there an hour early so that we could get some lunch. I can't remember the place we ate at but the food was really nice and so was the customer service. Me and my dad both had a Hunter's barbeque chicken sandwich with salad but I had a side of onion rings whilst my dad had a side of cheesy chips. Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post,  On Saturday, me and my family celebrated my 16th birthday. Before lockdown had happened, we were hoping to celebrate my birthday in Réunion, a French colony near Madagascar, where my mum comes from. That would have been really nice because I would have celebrated my birthday for the first time with my grandad, cousins, and my auntie and uncle. I would have also been able to go a little bit earlier and stay a little longer on holiday because I would have had my year 11 big summer break. However, that sadly couldn't happen this year due to the circumstances.  Although most of the shops were open on the 4th of July in the UK, I still celebrated my birthday in lockdown but it was still really nice and I had a really good day.💜 In the morning, at around 9:00am, I began opening my presents. Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, Firstly, today is my birthday! I can't believe that I'm 16 already. I still look 14 but I'm excited to live out this year as a 16 year old. Lets hope it's not as strenuous as when I was 15! Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post,  Despite the social distancing and quarantining, I think that I can confidently say that we celebrated both Mother's Day and my sister's 18th in style. Currently, the UK is on lockdown because of the number people who were not social distancing but strangely on Sunday, we were able to have a great time, whilst still staying at home. My dad put a candle and some wrapping paper in my room at 7:30 in the morning, whilst I was still asleep, so that I could wrap it up later on. Luckily I was still asleep because I tend to struggle with having lie-ins on weekends since I'm just so used to waking up early in the morning for school. Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post,  The 1st of March is my mum's birthday and this year, we began the celebrations a day early because my dad reserved a table at this Japanese restaurant on Saturday as it was not open on Sundays. Consequently, we all got ready to go out for a nice Saturday night meal on the 29th of February. I think both my mum and my sister's expectations were high because we went to the Ivy last year and that was fancy, so they were both getting ready an hour before hand because they didn't know what this place was going to be like as we've never been there before. In comparison, I got ready about 15 minutes before hand because whenever we go out, I try to be bothered to make the effort but it doesn't turn out that way. Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, On Thursday, I celebrated my 15th birthday with my family. We opened the presents first thing in the morning because that was when we had the most time during the day. I got a lot of books like The Homage To Catalonia by George Orwell and The Choice by Edith Eger. I really liked the sound of the second book because it's about a dancer who survived Auschwitz. Don't worry though, I didn't only get super "depressing" books. I also got the following memoirs of James Herriot's second book. I got Let Sleeping Vets Lie and It Shouldn't Happen To A Vet. As well as books, I also got a neon yellow bikini for the summer when we're going to Portugal. I also got a yellow, wrap-up crop top and to pair with that, I also got some black shorts. Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, Last Friday, on the 1st of March, was my mum's birthday. We didn't do much to celebrate in the morning since we were all fairly busy; my sister had to go to college at 7am and I had to go to school later on. It was pretty chaotic. Not like it used to be, when me and my sister went to the same school. However, my mum didn't hesitate to feel the presents and wonder what was underneath the yards of Christmas wrapping paper. Yes, I know, we're cheap. We just don't see the point in getting birthday themed wrapping paper when we've got tones of Christmas wrapping paper lying around.
