Hi guys, Welcome back to my blog. Today I am going to be showing you my October favourites. Being a model and role model are two separate things

Hello Jujubears and welcome to another blog post, Today I am going to be talking about the differences between models and role models and why we might get the two mixed up. I was recently reading Anne Frank's diary and she brought up how her parents wanted her to be the model child. At first, I thought it made sense but on second glance, I realised that it didn't. For example, we consider models to be figures in photos and magazines like Vogue. All models are doing is promoting something that they don't own. So by saying someone is or has to be a model child, it's implementing that they have to represent something that they don't own ; something that isn't them. To me, this makes sense and answers a lot of difficult questions. When we look at magazines, we look at something someone else has and try to fit it with our own body type. The art of presenting - Writing Wednesday

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post,  Everybody has their strengths and their weaknesses and I think that one of my weaknesses might just be giving presentations. Some people are naturally good at talking and continuing oral explanations without too much hesitation but for me, I have to think for quite a long time about what it is that I'm next going to say, which makes it a little bit awkward when a class is waiting in anticipation for the end of my sentence and it takes about 5 minutes for me to finish it. Of course I'm exaggerating slightly but I am genuinely not ashamed to say that I perhaps find explaining things in words on a page, where I can think about my explanation a bit more, a lot easier than saying something on the spot. However, as with anything in life, you've got to challenge yourself in order to improve and hazard a guess about what IB is full of....Oral examinations! Yay, not my favourite. Is starting dance late difficult?

Hello everybody and welcome back to my blog, Is starting dance late difficult? Should I start dance now? Are questions a lot of teens and adults often ask. Well last year, around the end of September, I started ballroom dance. I always wanted to learn how to dance the waltz or the cha cha but I was also concerned at the same time about my age. I was not placed with the older ones and although I was thirteen, I was placed with people 3 years or younger than me. However, I did not let this defeat me and now in September 2018, I will be joining the seniors. So, yes starting dance late can be difficult and you have to put a lot of work and effort into it. I made sure I was practicing regularly and turning up to lessons most of the time. And yes, quite often you do feel humiliated because your older than everyone else in your group. But if you put in the effort, then you will improve and succeed like me. So don't think it's too late to start because it isn't. I hope this was...
