blog post- I quit dance!

Hi guys,

Welcome back to my blog. I am hoping that these blog posts will go up Sunday, Tuesday and Friday talking about whatever I fancy. For this blog post, I will be talking about quitting dance and why I did it. Firstly, if your thinking about joining a dance school, then it is really important to know especially if you are joining a professional dance school that everything is going to be stricter and harder than your last dance school. For me that didn't bother me because I was very committed but it did definitely take me by surprise. Secondly, not everybody is going to treat you nicely. This was actually one of the main reasons that I quit because I didn't feel comfortable being in a studio with other people in my club. However if your just starting, you can't expect them to just come up to you and start talking to you straight away so at the same time, you've got to give them some time to get to know you. But for me, after a couple months it still wasn't comfortable being in a studio with them so it wasn't worth it staying there. However  I am still going to be doing dance and also maybe cheerleading because I really like Arco and tumbling so that could be a possibility. It is also important to note that every dance school is different so not every dance school is going to be exactly like mine.

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, I feel like I've been making blog posts after blog posts after blog posts about lockdown for a long time now and I know I've probably mentioned the word lockdown quite a few times now but yes, the UK is entering another lockdown as of Thursday.  I feel like every time I say we're in another lockdown, I just have to take a deep breath beforehand to compose my utter frustration at life right now. Getting back into dance + reviewing the Greatest Dancer 2020 - Dance Saturday

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, It's January and I'm beginning to get back into the swing of things. I've started to stretch and practice in the morning. I'm particularly focusing on my tricks because I think that my dance teacher at school would like me to perform some in the street routine we're doing for the show. It's themed on Into the Hoods, which I did research on for my coursework. I published a section of it on my blog, if you would like to read it. Kate Prince, the artistic director of the production, is an interesting character and an inspiring person to read about so I would definitely recommend that you read my post on her because she has an interesting story. Mother's Day!! :) - Lifestyle Monday

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, On Saturday, as you may have seen on my Instagram, I went into Cambridge with my sister to go to Creams and to buy something for my mum for Mother's Day. Last year, we didn't do anything special because we don't really care that much about Mother's Day but I did help out my mum doing a few things. This year however, me, my sister, and my dad decided to step it up a bit and we decided to get her a present. Before we did that though, we went into town to go to Creams at Cambridge Leisure Centre. I think it's safe to say that having dessert for lunch is pretty awesome every once in a while. Lol. After an hour and a half drive on the bus, a very stuffy disgusting bus may I add, we finally arrived in town. The problems with becoming a full-time dancer at a young age, inspired by Claudia Dean Coaching- Dance Saturday

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, What does it mean to be a full-time dancer?- To work 25 hours per week. This post was obviously inspired by the amazing Claudia Dean. She is an amazing dance coach who has trained at the Royal Ballet School. If you would like to check her out, she has a YouTube channel, which I will link below along with some of her other links. Recently, she posted a video about becoming full-time at a young age, and the risks that come with it. As Claudia stated in her video, this message about becoming fulltime at a young age needs to be spread to the next generation of dancers.
