Blogmas day 6- my top 3 Christmas movies!🌲⛄

  • My first all time favourite movie is Elf. Its so light-hearted and definitely very Christmassy.
My personal description:
Buddy is a human adopted by elfs. Once he realises that he was adopted he goes on the hunt for his dad who lives in New York. Once he's in New York, he realises that  no one has Christmas spirit any more. Consequently, he goes on a quest to bring back Christmas spirit.
  • My next favourite is Deck the halls. This film is woo funny. I like how the two neighbours fight over how many Christmas lights they have on the house! What an amazing storyline!
My personal description:
Steve is not used to the new neighbour Danny. Danny has big plans for creating the biggest light show on his house. Steve keeps getting disturbed by the bright lights at night when he sleeps. Consequently, he tries to seek revenge on Danny.

  • My last favourite is Paddington. I haven't seen the second version but the first is just as Christmassy. This film always makes me feel cosy!
My personal description:
Paddington is a bear from darkest Peru. He makes his way to England after a tragic earthquake. He is taken in by Mr and Mrs Brown who saw him at Paddington station.  He finds that city life is not fit for a bear and he find that someone wants to capture him. Millicent Clyde has an evil plan for the bear.

    A Miracle on 34th Street... the original one is my fave... followed by The Bishops Wife and Its a wonderful Life. All Black and White Movies... made way before my time..lol

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post,  Recently, I've been watching a lot of Russel Brand's content on YouTube because rather surprisingly, he uploads videos giving some pretty sound life advice which I have been genuinely trying my best to follow as much as possible. I say surprising because before discovering his YouTube channel, with all due respect I never knew Russel beyond the actor that he once was, but upon discovering his channel, I have come to realise that Russel is not just an authentic and relatable human being, he is also an individual who perhaps has the intellect of some of the greatest philosophers to have ever lived. So I follow his advice very dearly. And one of the topics that Russel often talks about is living in the present moment. The individuals of the Holocaust: The victims and the perpetrators - Writing Wednesday

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post,  Recently, I got given the opportunity by my school to take part in the Lessons from Auschwitz Online Project, to further my understanding on the events that took place during the Holocaust. I was joined by over a hundred other sixth form students from across the UK and I found it quite amazing that so many young people, whether they already had knowledge on the Holocaust or not, had decided to get involved and educate themselves on such a raw and often confusing historical time period. However, whether selfishly or unselfishly, I decided to take part in this project set up by the Holocaust Educational Trust for myself. I am a big believer in educating and bettering yourself before taking the responsibility of preaching your truth to others, so although I already knew a lot about the Holocaust, I endeavoured to find out more so that I could pass on my valuable knowledge to you, in the hope that you can reciprocate the action for ot

What I'm hoping to talk about in my English speaking exam- Writing Wednesday

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, After Easter, my English teacher told the class that we will be doing a speaking exam on whatever topic we wish to talk about. I don't know the exact details of the exam but I do know that we have to talk about a certain subject for 4 minutes. I will probably find out more about it when I return to school next Tuesday. Although, I already have an idea of what I'm going to talk about. I thought it would be interesting to talk about my heritage since I've got an interesting racial background. My sister talked about this for her speaking exam in year 10 and she did very well in it so I thought it would be a good idea to talk about it also. I will hopefully be able to talk about where my mum comes from. She was born in a French colony called Réunion near Madagascar.
