Blogmas day 2- Setting up the tree!

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, Yesterday was the first of December meaning we were going to get our Christmas tree. Our first stop was Tescos however because my sister wanted to get some chocolates for her friend's birthday. While we were there, we also bought some meat and cheese because my mum wanted to make a lasagna for dinner. We also bought a can of peas to give to the food bank. It's sad that we even have to give anything to the food bank but in our area I know that there are quite a few people who are struggling to get their basic needs so its nice to give something back. I was also glad to see that a lot of other people were giving to the food bank. After shopping, we got into the car to go to our nearest rectory  farm where they sell real Christmas trees.  When we arrived, we pulled down the back seat to allow for room for the tree. Not being afraid to be who you are - Writing Wednesday

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, Recently, I went to the Cambridge Open Studios and visited a house that I've driven past a lot of times but have never actually been in before. It's called the Wooden House and there's a big yellow tower that you can see emerging from the trees. At first, I thought it was a house full of crazy people because it was quite an out-there place. However, when we parked up and began walking up the garden path, we were welcomed by a overpowering view of colour and art.  Everything that was made had reused parts to it. There was a fish outside made out of scrap metal and inside it, it had old harmonicas so that when there was a strong wind, the fish would make music. Inside, we were met with a lady who made a living by selling her beautiful homemade crockery. She showed us how to put coloured pieces of transfer paper onto plates and fire them in a kiln to produce a beautiful art-deco style. Whilst she was talking, I couldn...

What I got for my 14th birthday!

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, On Wednesday the 4th of July, I turned 14! Although it was a red,white, and blue celebration day, it was also a day to celebrate my birthday! I am so pleased to have gotten this many presents on my birthday because I know for some, that is just not possible. Thank you to my friends and family for the presents, I am eternally grateful.  :) One of my favourite presents this year was an Instax Polaroid camera! I think my parents decided to get one for me because my friend took a picture of me and her at a party and I really liked the effect. I've already started to take pictures using it. Next I got some teal blue sliders to wear around the house. Then I got a really nice two wick candle. I was a bit worried that the candle might smell like one of those really posh toilets since it was lavender scented! Lol. However it actually smelt really nice and I'm excited to burn it.
