Somme and Arras trip photos

I went on a year 9 history trip to the Somme and Arras. I visited loads of WW1 memorials and as a group we discussed wether or not they were the right way to remember them by. I also visited trenches. Some were left as they were and some were made today as they would be 100 years ago. We discussed which one was the best way to preserve the history of the trenches.  I also visited a mine. I forgot to take photos but we visited a quarry and a mine 20 metres underground that was used for a secret attack against the Germans. This was during the battle of Arras. All of these places however were so overwhelming to see but places I would definitely recommend going to.





























How should we remember the soldiers that died in WW1?

Hi guys, Welcome back to my blog. Today I am going to talk about confidence. If you're like me and you're not the most confident person in the world, you will know that it is difficult. What I do sometimes, if I have to share work in class, I pretend to be a confident person. Instead of using my nerves to be nervous, I use them to be confident. Most people when they're asked to read their work out in class, they think they can't do it. However, if you're pretending to be a confident person, you've got to tell yourself that you can do it. You've also got to think that you're not doing it for anybody else but yourself so it shouldn't matter what other people think. Another good tip that I have is to pretend that when your standing up in class that you've got a cape blowing in the wind. My dad taught me this and it actually worked. My trip to Réunion + all the photos I took there!

Hi guys, Welcome back to my blog. Today I am going to recall my experiences in Réunion and travel. The first flight we took was a nightmare because there was so much turbulence throughout the night that I was actually sick in the morning and I hate being sick. We still had a long drive to get to our accommodation in Réunion but we drove by the sea front which helped with my travel sickness. My favourite place to eat in Réunion has to be Le Patio because you can choose what you want to eat. So after we arrived, we went to Le Patio and I had a really nice salad with fish inside. It was delicious. The next day, we went to St Pierre to go to the beach. I love the beach of St Pierre because as well as being full of people, it still managed to keep its wild side. There are also loads of really cool, colourful fish to see. The other two beaches that I went to was L'Hermitage and L'Étang salé which were both equally as good. Bloggerversary

Hello everybody and welcome to another blog post, 1 year ago, I started blogging. It was a big idea of mine because I loved to write. I remember my first ever blog post. It was about what I ate in the evening in Norfolk. I was so excited. I realised I had got some views almost instantly on that blog post. Then I realised that it was me. LOL. Just goes to show how inexperienced I was with the blogging community back then. I stopped blogging for a couple of months then got back into it again in the summer. I loved the summer because I visited my family for the first time in 5 years. They live far away on an island in the east coast of South Africa called Réunion. It's beautiful there and I will never miss it because I have recorded my time there, here on this blog. One of my biggest blogging challenges was when I did Blogmas at Christmas.
