My goals mood board- Lifestyle Monday

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post,

I've been feeling really inspired lately for some weird reason so I thought it would be a good idea to brain dump my main future goals in a mood board. There are a lot of pictures of dancers as I would really like to be a dancer (specifically in ballroom, contemporary/jazz, and hip hop). There is also a picture of tickets since I would like to dance in a big theatre production. I would also like to perform again in the Royal Albert Hall since it was such an amazing experience so there is a picture of that. As well as this I put general pictures of London since I want to work there and live there in the future. I would also like to visit New York during a Christmas because of the massive Christmas trees. At some point I would like to be on TV maybe to become a Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer or perhaps a judge since that is my favourite show. As well as being successful though I still want to be able to help our planet and the environment by fundraising and awareness so that is why I put an image of a tree in the corner.  I would also like to run my own dance school business after I retire as a professional dancer. Lastly, because I have family their, I would love to visit Asia specifically Japan on a food tour. With my mum and my sister because they insisted!

    Those are great goals. I was going to ask if you wanted to be on Strictly Come Dancing, but you answered that before I asked. I think that is a great ambition. If you ever get to New York, let me know. I would love to meet you in person! New York is about 2 1/2 hours from where I live. A dream board is a wonderful thing to have.

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, I don't know if people outside of Britain have something like this in schools but here we have a thing called conference day which is a day where you learn something unconventional and would probably not do in normal everyday lessons. For this conference day, the topic was life skills.  In this one part of the day, we learnt about mental health and depression. Why this had anything to do with life skills, I do not know. It was going pretty smoothly at first. They were talking about what effects mental health problems had on people and those around them and why it's important to speak about these sorts of things. Then as the teacher flicked over to the next slide, things turned sour pretty quickly. This slide was labelled "Things you cannot say incase it offends someone with a mental health problem." Now some of the words I could understand why they were mentioned like "psycho" and "idiot" but

Week 1 update - My Portugal Holiday

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, After a swift flight to Portugal, we arrived at Porto Airport. We got our luggage, went through security, and got a shuttle to the nearby car hire place. The shuttle, or should I say mini bus, was 1 minute long. Good thing too, because I could not find my seat belt and neither could my mum. It seemed like it was ripped out of its place. However, the driver was really nice and I was luckily because it was not  too rough on the road.  When we arrived at the car hire place, we were greeted by a nice worker, who got down my parents details and driving licences and even wrote his name in Japanese. We mentioned where we were from and how my mum was French and how my dad was half Japanese, half English. That's why he showed us that he could write his name in Japanese. He even recognised that my dad's name, Hideaki, meant the mountains and the sun in Japanese. I know, its quite cringey, but also really cool that he managed to r

Oti and Kelvin's epic Samba and Will and Janette's insane quickstep on week 1- Dance Saturday

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, Last Saturday, I watched the first episode of Strictly Come Dancing, 2019! I can't believe how amazing each couple was. For week 1, it was definitely like watching an episode at week 8.  In Kelvin and Oti's samba, Kelvin really maintained great technique, and I think that was what made him have the highest score of the day. For a male to be good at samba they must keep up with the beat of the music because in the samba, you really have to be able to move your hips. I think that was what he was good at doing and it was clear to see because he kept up with Oti. He also had excellent musicality and rhythm during his samba basic and walks. What I would correct is his hand placement, like Craig said because when he was exchanging arms with Oti, his hands were slightly splayed. However, other than that, his performance really looked professional and I think the whole audience was surprised by this dance. BBC Strictly Come
