Walking through the old town of Labin in the evening!- Croatia adventures

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post,

A few days ago, I visited the old town of Labin near to where we're staying. It was beautiful and walking through the streets truly felt like walking through the old streets of Italy or Rome. We visited wine shops,a church, and we even looked over the whole town from a bird's eye view. The experience was amazing and one that I would highly recommend. So without further delay, I hope you enjoy some of the photos I took!

Things are getting better - Writing Wednesday

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, I recently went shopping to Tescos with my family, after going out for dinner and I was surprised to find a big billboard in the entrance way, which showed various photos of plastic pollution in our oceans. Admittedly, none of the plastic bags that you could see the fish and the turtles eating were Tesco branded but at least it showed that something is about to change and in some respects, Tesco want that change to happen. I also saw various plastic recycling bins where people can recycle plastic that the council cannot such as plastic film and laminated plastics. I don't quite know what makes their bins better than the council's but at least it shows that they're aware of the problem and are trying to take action to make our environment better. Also, Tesco has allowed refills for hand soap and I'm hoping shower gels and dish soap in the future since that's what we seem to be using most often. However, I ackno...

An inspirational dancer I wish to talk about, Misty Copeland- Dance Saturday

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, There are so many amazing dancers out there but today I would like to talk about just one and I'm sure many of you have already heard of her. Misty Copeland. She was the first African American woman to be promoted to principal dancer in ABT's 75-year history. What's even more amazing was that she only started ballet at the age of 13. Despite her mother fighting legal custody issues over her, Copeland became an award-winning dancer and was working with other professional dancers. Whilst legal proceedings to do with her mother were dropped, Copeland moved home to study with a new teacher who was a former ABT member. Copeland was born in Kansas City, Missouri but was raised in San Pedro community of Los Angeles, California. Her father, Doug Copeland, was of German and African American descent whilst her mother Sylvia DelaCerna is of Italian and African-American ancestry and was adopted by African American parents.
