Blogmas day 6-Christmas Eve traditions
Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post,
There's a lot of things that we do over Christmas Eve. Our biggest tradition is to have our well known friends come over. With our new extension, we can invite so many more people than before. My mum usually prepares quite a selection of food that we can pick and choose from. This usually consists of her homemade paté, pork, and side dips. Apparently this is quite a French tradition to prepare lots of food on Christmas Eve but I just thought it was a normal thing to do! Lol. My mum got very offended when I said that. All the teenagers go to the living room to watch films whilst all the adults go to the other living area to sit and talk. We were supposed to watch Merlin last year but we had a problem with our DVD player so we watched Nativity 1 and 2 instead whilst playing some games. It was still fun!
Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions? Let me know in the comments below and I will be sure to reply to them. I ♡ hearing from you!

What fun to have a Christmas Eve party! My husband's nephew does that, but mostly it's an excuse to get drunk so after one time we never went back. Usually I spend Christmas Eve with my sister at her house and go to Christmas Eve service at her church. No opening gifts until Christmas Day, though. I would love to open just one but...
ReplyDeleteLol. We don't open gifts until Christmas day but in France, they open them on Christmas Eve.
DeleteMy grown children and my grandchildren come over on Christmas Eve. I prepare a big dinner and after we eat we roll sugarplums. It’s a candy kind of like chocolate butter. I make the dough ahead of time and we all roll the dough into balls and then roll them in sprinkles and colored sugars! Then we open gifts!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed hearing how you and your family celebrate.....
Never had sugarplums but they sound great!
