If you're new here, my name is Juliette Page and I'm a 19 year old writer from the UK, who has been blogging the ups and downs of her life since the age of 12 years old. Movie review: I am Sam - Lifestyle Monday

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post,  Recently, I rewatched one of my favourite movies called I am Sam. It stars the actors Sean Penn (as Sam Dawson), Dakota Fanning (as Lucy Dawson), and Michelle Pfeiffer (as Rita Harrison). I began watching this when I was quite young, around the age of 7 years old. I realise now that that was probably too young because the film was actually rated a 12 but I can't exactly remember my parent's reasoning for allowing me and my sister to watch the film. However, I did know that the storyline was very moving. The basic synopsis of the film is that Sam Dawson, an autistic man working on a small wage at Starbucks, has a child called Lucy with a homeless woman. After Lucy is born, the mother abandons her daughter and leaves Sam to take care of her. Should makeup be allowed in school? - Writing Wednesday

  Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, A while ago, I watched a good debate on This Morning about whether or not students should be allowed to wear makeup in school. The debate was between a mother and a headteacher and the mother argued that makeup should be allowed in school because her daughter felt more confident with makeup on in school and therefore found it easier to concentrate in lessons with it on. She said that at her last school, her daughter was constantly put in detentions for wearing too much makeup and bullied for her skin and so the mother got her to change school because she didn't agree with their policies. However, the headteacher argued against that and said that only light makeup should be worn if any as it is good for students to feel confident in themselves and in the school environment and they shouldn't waste time on putting it on every morning. Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, I hope you're all still doing well during quarantine! It's the second post of my "All about____" series, where I talk about the dancers, choreographers, and people who have changed the way we look at dance. Last week, I talked about the Burn the Floor Dance Company so if you haven't read that already, I suggest you do because it's really interesting. You can find the link to it here . However, today I'm going to be talking about the amazing South Korean dance studio, 1 Million Dance Studio! 1 Million Dance Studio is an innovative dance center that was co-founded by Lia Kim and Timon Youn, on the 1st of December, 2014. Lia Kim is well known for her insane tutting skills and for her appearances at Urban Dance Camp and Kurt Hugo Schneider's music video to Closer, by the Chainsmokers. Blogmas day 6-Christmas Eve traditions

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post, There's a lot of things that we do over Christmas Eve. Our biggest tradition is to have our well known friends come over. With our new extension, we can invite so many more people than before. My mum usually prepares quite a selection  of food that we can pick and choose from. This usually consists of her homemade paté, pork, and side dips. Apparently this is quite a French tradition to prepare lots of food on Christmas Eve but I just thought it was a normal thing to do! Lol. My mum got very offended when I said that. All the teenagers go to the living room to watch films whilst all the adults go to the other living area to sit and talk. We were supposed to watch Merlin last year but we had a problem with our DVD player so we watched Nativity 1 and 2 instead whilst playing some games. It was still fun!
