How I spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post,

Before I get onto how I spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, can I inform you that I recently published a slideshow featuring a few extra fun clips from my trip to London on my YouTube channel. I wrote all about the day on my previous post and I decided to make a slideshow to go with it. The link is below if you want to see it! Now, let's see how I spent my Christmas!

Christmas Eve was a kind of bittersweet day because it was exciting since it was Christmas Eve but it was also sad because my God siblings had to go back to Paris to spend their Christmas. They had to wake up at 6:30am to get ready for their morning flight. Me and my sister made an effort to wake up at around 7:15am since we wanted to say goodbye to them before they left. Even at 7:15am and even though at the time I had a terrible cold, we still woke up with each other which was nice. Then it was time to say goodbye officially. There were a lot of hugs and kisses then out the door they went.

After they left, me and my sister watched some TV. It was still early in the morning so we didn't have breakfast yet. Instead we watched a bit of Doctor Who. When we did have breakfast, I had toast with jam and a cup of tea.

When my dad returned from Heathrow earlier in the day, he said that Marion, my God sister, cried which made me feel sad! We did have a good time all together and we haven't seen each other in 12 years so it was sad when we had to say goodbye. The rest of the day felt weird because it was quiet without my God siblings around!

In the evening, my mum had a couple friends come over. They gave her a massive basket of flowers and a nice little tea lantern which we all put on the table for Christmas.

Later on in the evening, my past childminder called Rosemary came around with her daughter, her husband and her friend from Hong Kong. We were really tired from having teenagers in the house for the past few days that we were not as lively as usual. However, we still had fun. Whilst the adults were talking and having debates, lol, Rosemary's daughter came into the living room to watch some TV. We watched Gordon Buchanan's documentary called "Grizzly Bear Family and Me" which came out for Christmas. It was really good and really informative. Would one hundred percent recommend it. Then we had dinner which consisted of a selection of salads, deli meats, and pâtes. Delicious! The most funny part of the evening was when we showed Rosemary's daughter the photos of some of the people in my year, and how much they've grown and matured since seeing them at Rosemary's childminding. She was incredibly shocked to see them. Lol. After a bit more chatting, I was so tired that I decided to go to bed. Haha.

I woke up at 7:30am the next day and decided to watch some YouTube and wait out the morning. At around 8:30am, my sister sent me a photo of a cute cat and I replied back so she knew that I was awake. Consequently, she came to my room and asked me if I wanted to go downstairs to open some presents. I said yes and next we went downstairs. Under the tree, there were so many presents. We waited for everyone to assemble themselves around the tree before we decided to open the presents. I am so thankful for my presents that friends and family decided to gift to me and my sister. Thank you all! I will blog more about what I got in a future post.

After opening presents, my sister decided to go and have breakfast whilst I set up Netflix for the first time since it was one of our Christmas presents. Out of all the Netflix shows, we decided to watch Nativity 2. Lol. It was really good, me and my sister enjoy Mr Poppy's jokes. Haha. I decided to have my breakfast of tea and toast towards the end of the film.

After watching the film, I decided to get changed and bring up some of my presents from downstairs to upstairs. My outfit of the day was an aurum orange cropped jumper that I got for Christmas paired with navy blue high-waisted jeans and fuzzy bear socks! After getting changed, I brought up the rest of my presents which was a strainuous task since there were so many amazing gifts!

After that, I was called down for Christmas dinner and I was amazed by the beautifully layed out table.

The food was amazing. It consisted of guinney foul, vegetables, roast potatoes, pigs in blankets, stuffing, and gravy. Delicious!

After lunch, me and my family did the crackers, told jokes, and then watched a Christmas movie. We decided to watch a new movie called "Click and Collect." It is so funny. Its about an anti-Christmas father who has to travel to Carlisle to get the last pony toy for his daughter on Christmas Eve. He has to travel with his pro-Christmas neighbour Dev who insists on going to help save a little girl's Christmas. Please watch it if you have the chance!

After watching the movie, I decided to go upstairs and start sorting out where my presents should go in my room. Then I decided to go back downstairs to watch the Strictly Christmas Special. I am glad that Aston Merrygold finally got a chance to win something since only a year ago he was out of Strictly even though he was an excellent dancer. Well done him! As well as Strictly, I also watched Michael Mcintyre's Big Show Christmas special. It always makes me laugh and I'm glad that it's continuing through January.

After that, I decided to go upstairs and have a shower since it was already 8:00pm. I decided to use the shower gel that Thomas, Romain, and Marion gave me as a Christmas present. It was really nice and it had a nice scent to it.

After that I decided to go to bed since it was already 9:30pm. Goodnight everyone! ❤️

  1. What a wonderful Christmas you had! I was so happy to read all about it. Your dinner sounds amazing. I am going to try to find some of those shows you spoke of. Lots of times we don't see them here in the US and sometimes I can find them online.

  2. Thank you. I'm sure you'll be able to find some of the shows on either Netflix or the BBC Iplayer website if you can access that in the US.
